This season you will see chain adornments everywhere. The chain trend has worked its way from jewelry into handbags and even shoes. Chains have become the accent statement on bags! You will see the chain strap on many of the runways this fall. Striking thick chain straps that contrast against slim, streamlined purses are big for Fall 2020. A few designers that have made chains a part of their bag designs include Dolce and Gabbana, Bottega Veneta and Stella McCartney to name a few. 

The chain bag can be part of all kinds of styles, with gold chains adding hints of luxury and silver chains showcasing elegance. The chunky chain detailing on bags are ever so popular.

Fun Fact: The chain strap bag goes back to Coco Chanel who is credited with creating the very first bag with a shoulder strap. That particular bag was the 2.55 which was created in 1955 and it had the chain straps that have since become a classic shoulder bag element. ✨
